Who am I

I spent 14 years in the Royal Australian Navy, eventually serving as a Lieutenant Commander and Operations Officer—third in command of a Collins Class Submarine. In that environment, I learned that leadership isn't just about strategy; it's about the people behind the machinery.

My mission shifted when I met my partner, Alec. Witnessing his battle with Anorexia Nervosa and navigating the systemic gaps in our medical and mental health systems changed me. I realized that my military precision, combined with a degree in Organisational Leadership and Counselling, could be used to build "Golden Joinery" (Kintsugi) for others.

I believe lived experience is our most valuable asset. I’m here to bridge the gap between authentic advocacy and the support systems we all deserve.

What is Novus Iterum

Novus Iterum is Latin for ‘New Again’ and I chose this based on Kintsugi meaning "golden joinery," which is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold. So rather than hiding the damage the flaws are embraced as part of an object's unique history and beauty.

Making it stronger and more beautiful than it once was, which is true for all of us - our experiences and everything that we have been through helps shape us and bring us to who we are right now.

The Your Growth Compass in the title is indicative of what I do – ‘Your’ meaning there is not “one size fits all." Everything is tailored to your specific requirements and goals.

Growth – meaning an expansion or advancement, whether that is in education or progress toward a goal. It is not about a quick win; it’s about developing the mindset and habits that keep you performing long after our sessions end.

Compass – a compass indicates direction and that is what I will do with you – help you navigate to where you want to be.
